Practice areas with a Fachanwalt title

A Fachanwalt is a specialist lawyer. The regional bar association awards the title only after proof of special theoretical knowledge and practical experience (section 43c of the Federal Lawyers' Act, BRAO). The official German title is shown beside each English name.

Where the information comes from

The name, admission, Fachanwalt titles and firm address come from the official lawyer register of the German Federal Bar. Every profile says when we last checked the entry there. We take languages, focus areas and links to profiles on other sites only when name and address, or name and phone number, match. Each language is shown with its source. The page How we rank explains how the order comes about. We do not list in-house counsel (Syndikusrechtsanwälte), because they may advise only their employer.

Names, titles and the register's wording stay in German, because they are official. Everything around them is written in English.
